The Shandon Advisory Council
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Shandon Advisory Council emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 1990, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved.

Purpose of the Council
-
To develop and maintain community involvement for furthering sound planning and development in the Shandon area as defined by the Shandon School District boundaries lying with in the San Luis Obispo County.

To foster a comprehensive program of development aimed at providing the greatest public benefit.

To represent the Shandon area in matters of planning and development.

To be involved in matters historically identified with sound development including but not restricted to, land uses, public services, circulation, public improvements and other aspects of orderly community growth.

To hold public hearings, conduct studies and make recommendations to the county Board of Supervisors and the Board's liaison to the Shandon are on all projects and programs.
