Boys & Girls Club of Mid Central Coast
Shandon on the Shandon Elementary Campus at 301 S. First Street Shandon/ CA 93461 – We are a youth development organization with skilled, caring professionals who understand where every kid is coming from and help them shape their path toward a great future. As soon as our members walk through our doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety. All our Clubhouses run programs designed to be fun and engaging, while building skills and confidence for a successful future. We provide safety and support during critical hours of the day as well as meals, strong role models, organized athletics and access to the arts..

Mission Statement
The San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors, the legislative arm of the County government, is committed to the implementation of such policies and the provision of such services that will enhance the economic, environmental and social quality of life in San Luis Obispo County.
DISTRICT 1 SUPERVISOR., JOHN PESCHONG
I'm Supervisor John Peschong and my Legislative Assistant is Vicki Janssen. Together, we will be the ones you most often work with when you have questions or concerns regarding issues in the First District. We hope to provide you with a few facts about our District and give you some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.
In addition, we hope to provide you with the means to find the information you desire and try to keep you as current as possible about projects in District One. I serve as the 2023 Board Chair.

PLANNING AND BUILDING
The Department of Planning and Building provides oversight of the unincorporated areas of San Luis Obispo County. Planning and Building performs all land use planning functions to maintain the wise use of land and to help build safe communities including policies, programs, permitting, environmental review and zoning enforcement.
SLO COUNTY LIBRARIES
The mission of the County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries is to provide materials and services to people seeking knowledge, lifelong learning, and recreation, as well as to ensure that all patrons of the library may use those materials and services to the maximum extent possible.
SHANDON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Our District Mission Statement reflects the importance of being a good citizen and a good representative of Shandon schools now and in the future. SLO SHERIFF, NORTH STATION
The mission of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is to protect all life and property and to provide service, security, and safety to the community. Our vision is to be the most progressive and creative leaders within the law enforcement community, and ensure our County remains one of the safest places to live and visit. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office provides service to the unincorporated areas of San Luis Obispo County.

The California Highway Patrol, Templeton Area is located on US 101, half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Templeton Area is the gateway to tourist attractions such as Paso Robles Wineries, Pismo Dunes, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, San Simeon, Hearst Castle, and the Elephant Seals.  The Templeton Area invites you to come and enjoy the many attractions in our area and the surrounding communities. In order to arrive alive at your destination, please obey speed laws, wear your safety belt, don’t text and drive, and always have a designated driver.
